Support Toni Collette Online

Don't worry, this won't forward you to a Paypal donation :-) When it comes to rare or hard-to-find material regarding Toni's work, it's always like "sooner or later it will show up" or "someone must have this". So for the latter, I decided to compile this list of material that I know about but wasn't able to find yet to add it to my site. So my hope with this is that any fan or collector finds something that he has and is able to contribute, helping to make this site on Toni even more comprehensive. Every contribution, no matter how small, is highly appreciated and will be gladly credited. So have a look at the list, maybe there's something you have in your collection.
Talkshows
The bad thing about talkshows or tv programs is, once they're broadcast they'll never be repeated, so its hard to catch up with them in case you don't know of anybody who has recorded the actual broadcast. Below are talkshows appearances by Toni that are known, this list is incomplete for sure.

  • Ellen DeGeneres Show (NBC) on December 2, 2003
  • Enough Rope with Andrew Denton (ABC Aus.) on July 12, 2004 and September 22, 2003
  • Late Night with Conan O'Brien (NBC) appearance on October 2, 1998
  • McEnroe (CNBC) on August 29, 2004
  • Tavis Smiley (PBS) on February 22, 2007
  • The Panel (Ten) on July 17, 2002 and September 29, 1999
  • The Rosie O'Donnell Show (NBC) on June 7, '00, March 24, '00, September 7, '99 and April 11, '97
  • Rove Live (Nine) on July 27, 2004 and September 16, 2003
  • Any other talkshows that I have no idea she ever attended :-)
    Award Shows
Unfortunately it's the same with award shows, speaking of one-time broadcasts. Since Toni has won the majority of her accolades in Australia, its been double hard to get any material.

  • AFI American Film Institute appearances in 1991, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2003
  • Golden Globe Awards 1995 - nominated for "Muriel's Wedding" (lost to Nicole Kidman)
  • Blockbuster Entertainment Award 2000 - winning for "The Sixth Sense", in case she was there
  • Independent Spirit Awards 2004 - presenting on stage
  • Any other appearances may it be on stage or on being interviewed on the red carpet
    Television appearances
Toni made her start early on Australian television, and there have been lots of specials on her films

  • A Country Practice in the 1990 episode "The Sting: Part 1"
  • G.P. said to be appearing in a 1991 episode, no further information
  • This Marching Girl Thing short subject film from 1994, probably never broadcast
  • Frontline appearing in the 1997 episode "The Code"
  • Making Of and tv programmes any kind of reports on Toni and her films
    Articles & Scans
There are no specific articles I know of, but I'm sure there's been much being published on Toni, especially in Australia and after the release of "Muriel's Wedding". So if you own any magazines that feature Toni, your help is appreciated!

I guess, if you've come to the end of this page you've already contributed with your interest :-) As said above, any contribution is highly appreciated, so if you can help, please don't hestitate to drop me a line.
