EBAY CHARITY AUCTION TO BENEFIT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Hewlett-Packard is sponsoring a charity auction of signed photographs taken at the 2006
Sundance Film Festival. Celebrities including are Jennifer Aniston, Toni Collette, William H.
Macy, Guy Pearce and many more. The auction starts February 6th. The winning bidder for each
photo will get the autographed photo and an HP Photosmart 475 Compact printer, also signed by
the star. The proceeds from the auction will benefit
Habitat for Humanity’s relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Also, visit
their festival blog, Backstage at Sundance.

MIRAMAX PICKS UP "NIGHT LISTENER"

Miramax Films has acquired the North American rights to the Hart Sharp Entertainment and IFC
Films co-production, Night Listener, it was announced today from the Sundance Film Festival.
Directed and co-written by Patrick Stettner (The Business of Strangers), Night Listener tackles
the narrative of Armistead Maupin's most haunting page-turner.
The story follows popular public radio storyteller Gabriel Noone (Robin Williams) who develops
an intense phone relationship with a young listener named Pete (Rory Culkin) and the social
worker who rescued him from a life of abuse (Toni Collette). But Gabriel soon comes to the
startling realization that it is quite possible that neither the boy nor his painful account
of his childhood really exist.

"LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE" FINDS A DISTRIBUTOR

Thanks to Linda for letting me know that "Little Miss Sunshine" has been bought at the Sundance
Film Festival for between $10 million and $12 million to FOX. Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and starring Steve Carell, Toni Collette and Greg Kinnear, “Sunshine” follows the antics of a family that treks across the country so their daughter can have a chance at a beauty pageant title.

The Sunday Times has an interesting article on
Toni's music career and can be read in the Press Archive:
The "moody pop rock" album, Beautiful Awkward Pictures, is the result of Collette's collaboration with her musician husband of three years, Dave Galafassi, formerly of the band Gelbison.
"I know you hear about actors wanting to be rock stars, and it sounds like a nightmare, but I've been singing since I was little. It's been a long time coming, and I don't apologise," said Collette, who has performed in musicals from Sydney to Broadway, even receiving a Tony nomination for her per-formance in The Wild Party.
While dates for the tour are yet to be scheduled, Collette's booking agent, Homebake promoter Joe Segreto, said the aim was to deliver Toni Collette and The Finish to every capital city across Australia.

TONI COLLETTE TO ATTEND NEW MAHER SHOW

Its first weekly series, Amazon Fishbowl with Bill Maher, a variety
show hosted by the HBO satirist (and former host of ABC's Politically
Incorrect), begins airing on Amazon.com on June 1.
Highlights of a preview episode, to be filmed this weekend at the
Sundance Film Festival, will begin showing on the site Tuesday.
The first guests include Stephen King, whose new book, Cell, hits
stores Tuesday; musician Rob Thomas; and screenwriter Armistead Maupin
and actress Toni Collette from the film The Night Listener, which is
